The ideal starting age is 6 – 9 years. After just a few lessons, children generally achieve quite satisfactory musical results. However, quite a few children start playing the piano at the age of 4-5, as even the small child’s hand is able to press the keys down. For adults, it’s never too late to learn your favorite instrument! This is proven by numerous adults and retirees who learned to play the piano at an advanced age and now enjoy making music.

One-to-one tuition

If a piano is to be purchased, it is advisable to seek advice from the teacher before buying it. In the first year, renting a piano is also recommended. In most cases, the rent paid will be offset against the purchase price at a later date.
